I could not delete them at the time and saved them in the hopes that they could turn useful one day. Well, indeed they have! I can now publish this database of retail WoW websites.
Now keep in mind I did not go and scour the Internet for retail World of Warcraft websites. I did that for Classic or Vanilla WoW, Burning Crusade Classic, and Wrath of the Lich King Classic. But for Battle of Azeroth or Shadowlands, I did not go out of my way to find each and every one of the websites that talk about WoW. That being said, I am sure this is a hefty chunk of all of the relevant websites you may want to visit.
Many private servers might have slipped through as well. I don't judge in that regard. If a website deals with private World of Warcraft servers, it still is WoW-related for me, so it goes on the list. Also worth noting is that some of these websites might no longer be around. I had these websites and tools saved in a file for a few years so their online presence might have changed in the meantime.
